La exigencia hecha por el país colombiano de que se haga efectiva la firma de los acuerdos de paz entre el Gobierno y las FARC, la guerrilla más antigua de latinoamericana, despierta en el autor de este artículo, la necesidad de hacer la invitación para que entre todos construyamos la paz que este país tanto anhela. A manera de relato el autor nos cuenta los tiempos en que de una u otra forma hubo comprensión con la guerrilla, habla además de la gente que conoció, que despertó en él la admiración y la necesidad de luchar por una sociedad justa, habla del cura Camilo Torres, de Domingo Laín, José Antonio Jiménez y Manuel Pérez. Es pues, objeto principal de este autor reflexionar sobre el ideal de revolución de la guerrilla. “Vuestros ideales de justicia fueron nobles, pero el medio de la violencia armada fue nefasto y criminal”.
