El planteamiento del artículo gira entorno a los usos y formas de apropiación de algunas categorías y conceptos de la arqueología y la genealogía foucaultianas, como operadores conceptuales que permitan nuevos abordajes del campo educativo. Para tal fin, se revisan dichas categorías para la investigación en educación. Es así que se describen las posibilidades y limitaciones de estas categorías, a manera de caja de herramientas para enfrentar la tarea de investigar en educación y pedagogía. La démarche de cet article s’articule autour des usages et des formes d’appropriation de certaines catégories et concepts de l’archéologie et la généalogie proposés par Foucault, en tant qu’opérateurs conceptuels permettant de nouvelles approches dans le champ éducatif. Telles catégories sont révisées pour la recherche en éducation à cette fin. C’est ainsi que les possibilités et les contraintes de ces catégories sont décrites, en guise de boîte à outils qui permette de s’attaquer à la tâche de faire des recherches en éducation et pédagogie. A proposta do artigo gira em torno aos usos e formas de apropriação de algumas categorias e conceitos da arqueologia e a genealogia foucaultianas, como operadores conceptuais que permitam novas abordagens do campo educativo. Para tal fim revisam-se ditas categorias para a pesquisa em educação. É deste modo que se descrevem as possibilidades e limitações destas categorias, a maneira de caixa de ferramentas para enfrentar a tarefa de pesquisar em educação e pedagogia.
